El Cerrito (Calif.) receiver Damon Cole was set to visit New Mexico this weekend, but an offer from Boise State sent him to the Blue Turf instead.

"The trip was exciting and I felt like I was home," said Cole.

New receivers coach Eric Kiesau had been recruiting Cole to Fresno State but once he was hired at Boise State, he kept recruiting him and that relationship paid off for Cole.

"Most of my time was with Coach Kiesau," said Cole,

Cole was hosted by A.J. Richardson and Akilian Butler.

"I spent a lot of time with A.J. and he told me a lot about the program," said Cole.

The family atmosphere impressed Cole.

"What stood out most to me on the visit was the bond everybody had with each other," said Cole.  "It was a real good vibe and I liked how they treated my family and I."

Cole also liked what he saw on campus and with the facilities.

"The campus was big and it was nice," said Cole.  "The facilities were great. Every time I stepped in their stadium, it felt like Game Day."

Cole said he's still considering four schools, all from the Mountain West.

"I'm considering NevadaSan Jose State, New Mexico and Boise State," said Cole.

And he'll end his recruitment on Monday.

"I will be committing tomorrow at my school," said Cole.
