It's down to two for Lorenzo Fauatea ahead of National Signing Day.
The three-star defensive end from West Valley City (Utah) Hunter took his final official visit to Utah this weekend and told Scout.com afterward that he would be choosing between the Utes and BYU on Feb. 1.
"I liked how everything was set up," Fauatea said. "Everything was organized well and we just enjoyed out time. Now I've got to get together with my family, think about it and announce a decision on signing day.
"The players were great. I liked how the players were together and how they are as a family, same as what I saw at BYU on my visit there earlier this month. They see me anywhere from an end to a defensive tackle in their scheme down the road."
Fauatea, the No. 5-rated defensive end in Utah for the 2017 class, had previously committed to Oregon State but garnered his share of attention during the season and backed off that pledge to explore all of his options. He also took an official visit to Utah State.
"I'm going to look at who's really going to take care of me, that's really it," Fauatea said. "I want to know who's really going to be there for me."
Fauatea said he does not intend to take a LDS mission out of high school, so he'll be attending the college of his choice this fall.
