With the 2017 class all wrapped up and in the books, juniors from all around the country are now garnering even more attention as they become the primary focus for coaches on the collegiate level.
Joe Milton, a 6-foot-5, 212-pound junior quarterback out of Orlando (Fla.) Olympia that racked up 17 passing touchdowns in 2016, is one of those prospects that's witnessed a recent boost with a flurry of Power Five offers coming his way, including one from in-state Miami (Fl).
"The offer is big," Milton told Scout. "I was surprised it came this early, but I mean, things happen for a reason. I like the offense they run and the atmosphere they have.
"I really don't know much (about the program)."
The up-and-coming signal-caller also had the opportunity to chop it up with coach Mark Richt, who certainly didn't shy away from expressing his overall interest level in Milton.
"Coach Richt, he said I stand out the most after the day he watched other QBs in 2018," Milton said.
Milton, who's equipped with additional offers from Arizona, South Carolina, Syracuse, Iowa State and Florida Atlantic among others, says he's not quite ready to take that next in his recruitment by serving up a clear-cut leader.
"No, I don't," Milton replied when asked if he had any top schools. "I like them all."
As always, stay tuned to Scout.
