With Signing Day wrapped up for 2017, Scout already turns its attention to the class of 2018 and here is a Watch List of athletes from the West in that class.

Names to Know:

Talanoa Hufanga, Corvallis (Ore.) Crescent Valley

Does everything well but we love him on defense as a safety or outside 'backer.

Kobe Smith, Gardena (Calif.) Serra

Athletic two-way player we think ends up as a receiver in college. Also talented hooper.

Tennessee Pututau, Salt Lake City (Utah) Cottonwood

Utah has been churning out quality defensive lineman, Pututau is another elite one.

Ely Doyle, Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany

Hard hitting safety prospect who can cover as well.

Trey Lowe, Portland (Ore.) Jesuit

Explosive corner/receiver prospect who could end up on either side of the ball.

Malone Mataele, Santa Margarita (Calif.)

Has big play potential at safety, receiver or running back.

Toa Taua, Lompoc (Calif.)

Hard hitting safety but has great film as a running back.

Bryan Addison, Gardena (Calif.) Serra

Long, rangy prospect who could develop in to a ballhawking free safety.

Treshaun Harrison, Seattle (Wash.) Garfield

Explosive kid with a ton of speed and burst and could play four positions at the next level.
