2019 Offensive Tackle Kenyon Green Talks LSU Commitment, Possible Spring Visits

HOUSTON -- Scout caught up with LSU 2019 offensive tackle pledge Kenyon Green at this past weekend's The Opening Houston regional camp.

Scout got a quick update with LSU 2019 offensive line commit Kenyon Green at this past weekend's The Opening Houston regional camp.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Green was the only non-receiver to earn recognition on Scout's top-five offensive performers list at an event loaded with elite pass-catchers in the 2018 and 2019 recruiting classes.

http://www.scout.com/college/football/recruiting/story/1752741-to-housto... Green told Scout that he pulled the trigger so early on his LSU offer, the first of his recruitment, because LSU had long been on his mind.

"One of my dream schools," said Green, who picked up offers in January from Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma. "And I was real good with Coach O. He said just keep working and get better."

Green, who's also recruited by offensive line coach Jeff Grimes, said LSU wants him as a tackle/guard combo prospect.

"My feet are very good, and I'm just trying to get better with hand placement," said Green, who added he's working on overall technique this offseason.

While Green is committed to the Tigers, he said that this spring he wants to visit the other three schools that have offered him.

Offensive line coach Derek Warehime recruits Green for Texas, while receivers coach Dennis Simmons recruits him for the Sooners. O-line coach Jim Turner recruits Green for the Aggies.

With essentially two years between now and National Signing Day 2019, stick with Scout as we track Green's LSU commitment and other schools trying to pursue him.
