Tommy Bush, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound wide receiver from Schertz (Texas) Clemens has been picking up offers hand over fist as of late. It seems like every day he has a new offer to report.
"The most recents were Illinois State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Baylor, Michigan State, Arizona, and Ole Miss,” said Bush who picked up a Houston offer on Sunday and an offer from Washington State on Tuesday night.
“As a family we are carefully observing each offer and we are not going to commit immediately. There are no favorites and we are considering every option.”
“It is really only God’s work," Bush continued. "I give all glory to him. I work hard, I stay humble. I am just appreciative of the opportunity I am given."
Bush tested through the roof at the camp. He was the No. 2 finisher among wide receiver prospects in the Nike+ Rating portion of the event. He had a 113.07 overall rating. He ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and a 4.15 shuttle. Both are amazing times for a big-bodied wideout.
"My biggest strength is probably yards after the catch," Bush answered when asked about his strengths. "I am very explosive getting out (of breaks). I want to score for the team. That is the main goal for me. I am working hard on my route running and being aggressive going after the ball."
Bush attended a junior day at UH following the regional camp on Saturday and is hopeful to make it junior days at schools like "Baylor, Ole Miss and SMU".
When it comes down to it the Scout Top 300 prospect is looking far and wide for the perfect in college. He is not ready to narrow his focus in any way.
"Each college that wants to offer me an opportunity I am perfectly fine with it," Bush said. "I am going to look into every single one."
Bush finished his junior season with 25 catches for 395 yards and five touchdowns on 15.8 yards per reception.
