Keyondre White has the opportunity to showcase his talent on the Power Five level with offers on the table from Syracuse, Louisville and Illinois, but there's a school residing just roughly 45 minutes up the road that's currently soaking up his attention the most.
White, a three-star running back out of the 2018 class that was also offered by Buffalo on Thursday, is one of nearly 20 Division I prospects at Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna
Kiffin and the Owls recently made a splash by signing a stable of highly-touted prospects on National Signing Day, but the university is also the ideal fit in regards to what White is looking for academically.
"First off, the school has my major as their top major, which is business and management," White said. "Also, I love the offense Lane Kiffin ran at Alabama. I feel that I would be coming into a good situation with the school on the rise for the upcoming season."
Florida Atlantic's staff had just a couple of months to construct and sign a 2017 class, so it's understandable that the 5-foot-10, 205-pound White has been in limited contact with the Owls as of late.
"Yes, I have (been speaking with them), but there hasn't been too much communication because I know coach Kiffin has been real busy with the new job he has," White said.
"I still receive handwritten letters and occasional texts from the new staff, but they're really excited to have me as a recruit on their board."
As always, stay tuned to Scout.
