One of the top 2019 prospects in the state of Ohio is Lakota West defensive end Steven Faucheux, and college recruiters have already taken notice of his talents.
Faucheux, who holds six offers at the present time, took an unofficial visit to Michigan State this past weekend. Although he was not offered, the sophomore enjoyed the trip to East Lansing.
"I had a great time at Michigan State," Faucheux stated. "Coach (Harlan) Barnett told me he appreciated me making the trip, and he said he would be in touch in the spring. They did not offer."
"I also spoke with Coach (Mark) Snyder, the defensive ends coach, and he said he's excited to get to know me better," he added.
"I do have visits upcoming to Louisville and Indiana," he explained. "I have also talked with Ohio State about making it up there, but we haven't set a date yet.
Faucheux has a definite plan in mind for selecting a school, although he admitted he is no hurry to end his recruitment.
"I'm trying to keep everything open because I'm only a sophomore," Faucheux noted. "I'm definitely leaning toward the Power Five schools. The only two exceptions would be Cincinnati and Tulane, because I'm familiar with both schools and I have family near both."
"In the end I just want to pick the school that is the best fit for me," he concluded.
