The Kentucky Wildcats Are the First Program to Go All in on 2018 Florida-Based Safety, Maxwell Worship

WINDERMERE, Fla. -- It's not often when a prospect's initial offer comes from a school representing the SEC, but 2018 safety Maxwell Worship is one of the few that managed to hit the jackpot early on.

Evaluation Notes:

Checking in at a chiseled 6-foot-2, 187 pounds, Worship is a pad-popping safety that does a great job of driving through the ball carrier with technique. He flashes that relentlessness until the play is whistled dead, so you'll never have to question Worship's motor.

Worship is also a smooth, rangy athlete that really closes on the ball with acceleration. His movements look effortless at times, so he has an intriguing combination of size and athleticism in the back end of the defense. Once locking onto the football, Worship does a good job of coming downhill with toughness and determination.

Worship remains under-recruited, but with him being with a talent-loaded program like Cardinal Gibbons, I truly don't expect that to last for much longer. This is a strong safety that's reliable in space when going one-on-one with the ball carrier.
