The Gamecocks Are Tagging Russell Brown, a 2018 Wide Receiver, as a Top Priority Early On

WINDERMERE, Fla. -- With a visit locked in for later this month, 2018 wide receiver Russell Brown says a school representing the SEC is currently recruiting him the hardest.

Evaluation Notes:

Brown, 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, is a well-rounded pass catcher that can do a little bit of everything out on the perimeter. He's a fluid athlete that can really turn up the field and rack up yards after the catch, but also shows that field-stretching ability as well. Brown also does a nice job of slipping off that initial defender while maintaining balance. He's relentless when the pigskin is officially in his possession.

The Sunshine State native shows that wiggle after the catch, but flashes that acceleration and top-end speed to finish off the play. Brown doesn't waste much time getting his pads north and south. He can continue to be more forceful in the run game, but is certainly a willing blocker.
