Sophomore Pass Catcher, Jeremiah Payton, Surges Onto the National Scene With Offers From Florida, Georgia and Miami Among Others

WINDERMERE, Fla. -- A flurry of nationally-recognized schools, including the childhood favorite, have already dished out scholarship offers to 2019 wide receiver, Jeremiah Payton.

Evaluation Notes:

Payton, 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, is a sophomore pass catcher that flashes reliable hands and concentration when extending out for the pigskin. He also does a nice job of exploding off the ground, especially during one-on-one situations in the red zone, but shows the ability to break defenders down after the catch as well.

The Duval County native is known for stretching the field and providing that big play, but is also a willing blocker on the perimeter that doesn't shy away from physicality. Payton is very lengthy, but must continue to add weight moving forward. He's a disciplined route runner that does a good job of sticking his foot in the dirt and not rounding off his routes.

Payton will be under consideration for a fourth star once Scout releases their next batch of 2019 rankings.
