Mark Richt and Miami Have Scooped up Their Second Four-Star Running Back for 2018 With the Addition of Camron Davis

Camron Davis, the nation's 22nd-ranked running back in 2018, became the second Miami Carol City star to commit to the hometown Hurricanes on Saturday.

Mark Richt and Miami (Fl) already held a commitment from Lorenzo Lingard, the nation's fourth-ranked running back and a top 25 player overall, and now have a two-headed monster with the addition of Camron Davis, a Scout 300 running back out of nearby Miami Carol City.

Davis, a 2016 state champion that's also tagged as Scout's 252nd-ranked player overall for the class of 2018, joins Randy Russell to become the second Carol City star to commit at today's junior day event in nearby Coral Gables.

A former Oregon State commit, the 5-foot-10, 193-pound Davis has been rewarded with additional offers from TennesseeGeorgiaOregonSouth CarolinaWisconsinWest VirginiaMichigan State and Louisville among others.

Davis is a running back that is naturally powerful and he has a great frame for a prospect at his position. He has the ability to run between the tackles and on the perimeter. He runs a little upright for a back his size and shows a little stiffness, but is a strong runner with a burst and vision.

Davis has also shown that he can be used as a receiver out of the backfield.

A four-star prospect, Davis is highlighted as the South's 11th-ranked running back and sixth-ranked running back in the talent-loaded Sunshine State.

Davis becomes commitment No. 11 in the U's 2018 recruiting haul.

As always, stay tuned to Scout.
