Sleeper Prospects to Watch in the Midlands Region

There are always a lot of players dubbed as sleepers, but this article shines the spotlight on seven currently under the radar prospects looking for their first P5 offers.

WR Tre Adams - Frisco (Texas) Wakeland

  • Height: 6'3
  • Weight: 185

People are about to find out about this receiver, who has been dominating in his city, Frisco, which is a budding hotbed of recruiting talent in the Dallas metroplex. He is long, but also strong. Very competitive, runs good routes, and has strong hands. Oh yeah, all that plus he is 6'3.

DE Courtre Alexander - Owasso (Okla.)

  • Height: 6'5
  • Weight: 235

While many are concentrating on the high school's defensive back duo 'Proctor & Jones' its is Alexander who may factually find himself as one of the more popular recruits in the area. He recently picked up his first offer from Memphis, which has been a precursor to major offers for those who follow the OKPreps scene closely.

DT Arian Bhat - Denton (Texas) Guyer

  • Height: 6'3
  • Weight: 275

I love active interior defensive linemen and Bhat is one who plays with maximum effort. He runs pretty well and he is pretty strong. He is battle tested against the best competition in the state, and when he is on the field with prospects with 15-20 offers he looks like he belongs with them and the film backs it up.

JayVeon Cardwell - Cibolo (Texas) Steele

  • Height: 6'0
  • Weight: 170

He helped lead his team to a state championship appearance, collecting seven interceptions along the way. He is impressive on tape and was just as impressive in person. Looking back at his testing results from The Opening Houston he put up above average speed numbers in a camp that was deemed as slow all-around. He passes the eye ball test and the tape test.

DT Scale Igiehon - Del Valle (Texas)

  • Height: 6'2
  • Weight: 325

This is a massive defensive tackle who is able to move pretty well for a player with his sheer size. He is very strong at the point of attack and can manhandle offensive linemen. It is fun to watch his highlight tape ad see him running the court in basketball. That is an impressive feat and one that colleges will also find intriguing.

OLB DaShaun White - Richland (Texas)

  • Height: 6'2
  • Weight: 210

One of the more physically imposing players in the area. White is that new age style of coverage linebacker who can combat today's fast-paced offenses. He is above average in coverage and will absolutely lay the wood. Once one major offer comes in many more will follow.

OG Tyrese Williams - Cypress (Texas) Ridge

  • Height: 6'3
  • Weight: 285

Good things usually happen for the position MVP at The Opening and Williams earned every bit of the honor, by having his way with defenders in the one-on-one drills of the camp and then you pop in his highlight tape to see that he backs up what he did in the camp setting with great film. A true interior lineman.
