Breaking Down the Top 10 Offensive Performers From The Under Armour AA Camp in SoCal

The Under Armour All-American Camp was loaded on the offensive side of the ball. Here's our look at the top 10 performers of the day.

With all camp lists, it's important to understand a few things. This isn't a top prospect list, it's simply a list of the 10 players who had the best day in our eyes. This has nothing to do with recruiting rankings but strictly based on performance.

It's also impossible to watch and evaluate every player in a camp, there are just too many players, so in no way is this an all inclusive list. There were a ton of players we liked a lot, especially at the WR position. We didn't list a QB here but that doesn't mean there weren't several who performed well, we just felt the following 10 players had the best overall camp performances.

Top 10

Tommy Brown, OL, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei

Mammoth tackle prospect who didn’t lose a rep that we saw.

Chase Cota, WR, Medford (Ore.) South Medford

Showed a ton of speed getting down the field and catches everything.

Justin Dedich, OL, Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral

True centers are hard to find and Dedich had a dominant day.

Steven Jones, Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral

Opened a lot of eyes for how well he moved with that huge frame.

Jawhar Jordan, RB, Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton

Fast with good wiggle, major headache for linebackers during 7on7.

http://www.scout.com/player/202327-braden-lenzy

Braden Lenzy, WR, Tigard (Ore.)

Fast, athletic two-way player with a lot of explosiveness in his game.

http://www.scout.com/player/202695-camren-mcdonald

Camren McDonald, TE. Long Beach Poly (Calif.)

McDonald had no problems getting open and made a ton of plays all day.

http://www.scout.com/player/204579-khalil-shakir

Khalil Shakir, WR, Vista Murrieta (Calif.)

High level athlete with very good body control, can start and stop on a dime.

http://www.scout.com/player/198157-amon-ra-st-brown

Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei

On another level, strong, physical fast and polished.

Devon Williams, WR, Antelope Valley (Calif.)

Had to leave camp early but was among top 2-3 players in entire event before doing so.

Best Under the Radar Performers

A lot of players came in to the camp with big reputations and lived up to it, which is always good to see. It's also fun to see players who aren't as hyped and flying a bit under the radar come in and perform at a high level and prove they should be recruited much more heavily.

Here's a look at five players who aren't getting a ton of buzz but looked very good and should see a nice bump in their recruitment heading in to the Spring.

http://www.scout.com/player/195326-chuck-wick

Chuck Wick, RB, Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure

Wick doesn't get mentioned much when talking about the top running backs out West but he definitely should be. He had a great day showing great acceleration, soft hands out of the backfield and ran some great routes all camp long. He was basically un-coverable during the one on one drills with the 'backers.

http://www.scout.com/player/207053-tae-le

Tae Le, TE, Corona Del Mar (Calif.)

Le had a similar day to Cam McDonald at the TE position, being just way too athletic to be covered by a linebacker. He's a hybrid who plays like a big receiver and is very skilled but has the frame to grow in to a tight end/h-back type in a few years.

http://www.scout.com/player/203388-jacob-isaia

Jacob Isaia, OL, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman

It's tough to fly under the radar at Gorman with the amount of publicity those players get but Isaia is one player you rarely hear much about. He had a very good camp and didn't just win the majority of his reps, he won in dominant fashion. He plays tackle at Gorman but could play any of the interior line positions in college.

http://www.scout.com/player/212352-jeremy-moussa

Jeremy Moussa, QB, Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt

Moussa throws one of the prettiest balls you'll see and showed off a smooth, easy release and was very accurate all day. He's a pure pocket passer who can make all the throws, understands how and when to change speeds and gets the ball out on time. He can definitely play at the high Div I level.

http://www.scout.com/player/210311-joshka-gustav

Joshka Gustav, ATH, San Bernardino (Calif.) Aquinas

A lot of the film we saw of Gustav was on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive end but he worked out with the tight ends and was very good. Gustav is a strong, well built kid who can run, showed off strong hands and made several nice catches with a defender draped all over him.

We'll take a look at the top 10 Defensive performers and top 10 Underclass performers on Tuesday
