Two continue to standout to five-star defensive end Xavier Thomas, South Carolina and Clemson. But is there another SEC school lurking?

DAVENPORT, Fla.-- Nothing has changed for Xavier Thomas. Scout's No. 2 defensive end continues to have two leaders in his recruitment, South Carolina and Clemson. However, is there an SEC school trying to get into the mix?

It's the status quo for one of the best athletes in the 2018 class. Xavier Thomas continues to name South Carolina and Clemson as his two leaders. According to Scout's No. 2 defensive end, he wants to return home and play in his home state of South Carolina. Although Thomas is confident he has narrowed down his lit of suitors to just two, he will be visiting several schools along with his IMG Academy teammates this spring.

Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Virginia Tech are just some of the schools what will receive a visit when the IMG bus tour begins.

Despite the Tigers and the Gamecocks holding the edge, there is a SEC school that continues to lurk, "only other school that I would consider outside of South Carolina, if that doesn't happen, which most likely will, is Alabama," said Thomas.

Thomas discusses South Carolina, Clemson and Alabama in the video above.
