Spring visits will be big for Scout 150 athlete Amari Burney, as he nears June 1 decision.

DAVENPORT, Fla.-- Spring visits will be big for Amari Burney, as the Scout 200 athlete looks to make his decision in June. The four-star athlete discusses the schools he plans to visit this spring and what he needs to see before he makes his final decision.

Amari Burney is working towards a June 1st decision. The Scout 150 athlete, however, wants to take a few visits before making a commitment. Although the four-star from Clearwater, Fla. does not have a list of favorites, he does a few schools that are standing out enough that would warrant a visit in the spring. According to Burney, he hopes to visit: FloridaOhio StateAuburnPenn State and Virginia Tech

Burney is a very versatile athlete that can play either defensive back or wide receiver on college. At The Opening Orlando on Sunday he suited up on defense.

"Burney is a pure safety, but also showed solid one-on-one technique Sunday afternoon," said recruiting analyst, Corey Bender. "He stuck to his trade whether coming downhill, when he was at his best, or even in transition and/or in trail position. Burney played physical when needed, but always seemed to be in position no matter his role on a given play."

Most schools are recruiting the Calvary Christian standout at defensive back, while the Tigers see him more as a wide out and the Gators are looking at him at both defensive back and at receiver.

Burney discusses each of the schools he plans to visit and what he needs to see before his June 1 announcement date in the video above.
