Several players in the Midwest are heating up on the recruiting trail and adding offers regularly, including Lakota (OH) West linebacker Xavier Peters.
With only a few MAC offers to his credit in early January, Peters saw his scholarship list explode in the past six weeks and he now holds double digit offers.
"Things have really taken off for me in recruiting, and things are happening fast, so I'm trying to just take everything in and not get overwhelmed by all of it," Peters admitted. "It's hard scheduling these visits when schools want me to come on the same day."
"I'm taking this process slow, and I'm in no hurry to make a decision at all," he said. "Other schools are showing interest, so there could be more offers coming."
Some of the schools that have offered are sticking out to Peters right now, and he is in the process of taking unofficial visits.
"I was at Louisville last weekend, and that was great, especially being my first time there," he explained. "Louisville is getting a lot of new improvements to their facilities, which should be done by 2018, and I was very impressed with everything there."
"I've also been to Cincinnati and Kentucky, and I really like both places a lot," he added. "I will going to Penn State on February 25, and that's a visit I'm very excited to make because I really like their program. I was happy when they offered."
"Penn State is one of the top Big Ten schools, and I know they have the top class right now for 2018," he continued. "I'm looking forward to meeting the staff. The Oklahoma offer came out of nowhere, so I'm very thankful for that."
