DT Elijah Ratliff Is No Longer An Unknown Recruit

A couple of strong camp performances the past few weeks have put defensive tackle Elijah Ratliff squarely on the recruiting radar. He now holds four offers, and more could be headed his way.

One of the more impressive performers at last Monday's Best of the Midwest camp was Reynoldsburg (OH) defensive tackle Elijah Ratliff, and he was tough to handle coming off the ball.

Ratliff, who currently holds four offers, has seen recruiting interest increase dramatically over the past few months. More offers could be forthcoming.

"I have offers from Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, Ohio and Toledo," Ratliff stated. "I'm also talking to Pittsburgh and I visited there recently. They want me to come back for spring practice or the spring game."

"I think my best position would be as a three-technique, but a lot of colleges see me as a defensive end too," he added. "Position doesn't matter to me at all, because I'm just looking for a chance to play college football."

"I'm also hearing from Duke, and they have talked to me a lot lately," he continued. "I've been talking to Wake Forest too, and I'm going to be visiting both Duke and Wake Forest this spring."

As his name continues to be brought to the forefront of the recruiting world, Ratliff is hoping a Power Five offer is in his future.

"I'm the type of player that can use my quickness to get off the ball well, and I'm going to attack my opponent really hard," Ratliff explained. "I'm working hard on learning different pass rush moves."
