Numerous schools continue to pursue wide receiver Armani Chatman.
According to Chatman, NC State is recruiting him hardest.
"They always stay in contact and it means a lot," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Chatman. "(Cornerbacks) coach (George) Barlow is my recruiter and he believes in me. They're doing a good job with the program and really like it.
"Coach Barlow is impressive. I like his style of coaching and he's a good recruiter. He's told me a lot about the program and the academics. I also like how he doesn't sugarcoat things. He's always honest.
"I just feel like it's a very special program. I know they came up short in a couple big games last year, but the coaches always tell me I can be one of the key pieces to help them."
He visited Georgia last weekend.
"It was an amazing trip," Chatman said. "Georgia is a very special place and the environment is great. We also got to see the basketball game against Kentucky and the fan support was impressive.
"We were able to see the new indoor facility and it was really nice. It's crazy how quickly they built it. That was one of my favorite parts of the trip. I also really enjoyed talking to the coaches. I spent the most time with (tight ends) coach (Shane) Beamer. He's recruiting me and told me to just keep working. He's a good guy and recruits our area hard.
"I think they're close to offering and if they did, that would be a blessing. It would be my first SEC offer. I really like the school a lot."
Chatman is visiting Alabama and Auburn this weekend.
