The Belmont (Mass.) Hill receiver left campus with a strong connection to the Blue Devils and the coaching staff, and the feeling did not subside in the last week.
So, Saturday the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Bobo committed to the Blue Devils.
"Duke has a really cool combination of a prestigious education while being able to play Power 5 football in the ACC," said Bobo, the No. 3 player in Massachusetts in the 2018 class.
Bobo is a red zone threat because of his size and ball skills. He high-points the ball well and tracks it well, and he is not afraid to make a play in traffic.
"I think I can be a guy that can go down the field and make plays while the ball is in the air, which is something the staff has stressed with me," Bobo said.
In making his decision, Bobo said it was not one thing that stood out, but rather the overall feel of everything.
"There wasn't really a specific point that I felt made a big impact on my decision," he said. "It really just clicked last weekend when I was on campus, getting to know some of the guys on the team and the '18 commits Gunnar (Holmberg) and Taiyon (Palmer)."
