Nation's 15th-ranked 2018 prospect Teradja Mitchell visits Alabama and Auburn

Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan linebacker Teradja Mitchell visited Alabama and Auburn over the weekend and enjoyed each school.

Alabama and Auburn are two schools Teradja Mitchell had wanted to visit for a while. Over the weekend, he got that chance.

His first stop was Alabama on Saturday.

"I loved Alabama," said the 6-foot-2, 237-pound Mitchell. "It was great spending time with the coaches and I definitely think I'd fit in there. It would also put me in a great position to get to the NFL, which is my goal. My favorite part of the visit was definitely the linebackers meeting with (defensive coordinator) coach (Jeremy) Pruitt. It was great learning from him and seeing how their defense works.

"I also had a chance to sit down with coach (Nick) Saban and that was great.  He told me I'm a very, very good football player and that he loves my film. His message was basically that Alabama right program if you want to be developed into a successful man, not just football player."

The following day, the East's top-ranked outside linebacker was at Auburn.

"I really liked Auburn, too," Mitchell said. "I definitely gained some interest in the school. It was great talking football and life with coach (Gus) Malzahn, (linebackers) coach (Travis) Williams and (defensive coordinator) coach (Kevin) Steele.

"I was able to talk to coach Malzahn one-one-one, too, and that was great.  He talked about several things, but emphasized that he looks for guys who are not only good football players, but guys with great character, and he said I possess great character."

Mitchell's next scheduled visit is LSU on March 25.
