2020 CB Sheridan Jones was offered by Alabama and Auburn this past weekend

Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan freshman cornerback Sheridan Jones visited SEC rivals Alabama and Auburn over the weekend. Following the visits, he spoke with Scout.

Freshman cornerback Sheridan Jones visited Alabama and Auburn this past weekend -- and was offered by both.

He stopped at Alabama on Satruday.

"The coaches talked about how they're a really good program and how they would help with the transition from high school to college," said the 6-foot-1, 165-pound Jones. "Just being there in that environment was my favorite part.

"I spent the most time talking with (outside linebackers) coach (Tosh) Lupoi. We talked about my film and what he liked. He also gave me advice on where I can improve.

"Being able to talk to coach (Nick) Saban one-on-one was also a dream come true. He's one of the greatest of all time and it definitely meant a lot. I sat down with him and (defensive coordinator) coach (Jeremy) Pruitt. They told me all about Alabama and lifestyle of the players."

Jones went to Auburn the following day.

"The campus at Auburn was really lovely and the dorms were really nice," Jones said. "I got to talk to (defensive coordinator) coach (Kevin) Steele and he gave me tips and talked about how they love to play freshman. He also talked about their defensive scheme and basically told us all about Auburn.

"I was with (tight ends) coach (Larry) Porter the most and he said that they really like me. He also said that Auburn is a great place for me and I'd fit in well.

"I enjoyed pretty much the whole visit. There weren't a lot of other prospects there, so we were able to spend a lot of time talking to the coaches and they really showed us around."

Jones does not have any other trips scheduled.
