DT Jalen Alexander enjoys Wake Forest trip

Chesapeake (Va.) Western Branch defensive tackle Jalen Alexander visited Wake Forest last Saturday and spoke with Scout after his trip

Jalen Alexander's recruitment continues to surge.

He visited Wake Forest this past weekend.

"The visit went really well," said the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Alexander, who was offered by the Demon Deacons while on campus. "I loved it and had my own tour guide.

"They're doing a lot of construction on their facilities and that was impressive. I like the campus and the new indoor practice facility is crazy. The visit increases my interest level in them a lot."

While on campus, he spent the most time with head coach Dave Clawson.

"He showed me around and told me about the program," Alexander said. "How also told me how much they want me to come to Wake Forest.

"It meant a lot that we were able to speak one-on-one. It let me know that I'm a priority for them in this recruiting class."

Alexander was impressed with Clawson and could visit again soon.

"I like the fact that he's able to turn programs around and make them successful," Alexander said. "I might go back to their spring game."
