Georgia and Clemson Inch out Front for Versatile 2019 Defender, Mikel Anthony Jones

DAVIE, Fla. -- With a pair of visit dates locked in, 2019 pass rusher Mikel Anthony Jones says he also has two schools leading the way in his recruitment.

An explosive edge rusher that's equipped with the versatility to stand up or place his hand in the dirt at defensive end, Mikel Anthony Jones is a wanted man on the recruiting front that's piled up offers from ClemsonLSUGeorgiaWest Virginia and Utah among others.

Jones, a South Florida native out of the 2019 class, is currently tagged as a defensive end on Scout, but will be changed over to outside linebacker once the latest rankings are released. This is a slippery defender that's a headache to contain for heavy-footed offensive linemen, and certainly showed that just roughly 24 hours ago at the Opening Miami Regional.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Jones breaks down the two schools leading the way in his recruitment, an SEC school that's already secured a visit date after offering roughly a month ago, and more in the video at the top of the page.

As always, stay tuned to Scout.
