Although he is only halfway through his high school career, nearly 30 schools have offered running back Devyn Ford.
He recently picked up two of those offers.
His most recent visit was Virginia Tech.
"We toured the campus and they showed us the weight room," Ford said. "They also showed us how they develop their players and we ate.
"I spent the most time with (running backs) coach (Zohn) Burden and he was just telling me about their scheme and how I'd fit into their offense."
Where will he visit next?
"I'm visiting Clemson this weekend," Ford said. "After they lost the college football championship last season, it was impressive how they came back and won it this year.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the new football facility and talking to (defensive coordinator) coach (Brent) Venables and (running backs) coach (Tony) Elliott. Coach Venables is energetic and coach Elliott is kind of laid back. I like both of them and they know what they're doing."
Another school showing a lot of interest is Ohio State.
"Along with Clemson and Virginia Tech, they're recruiting me hardest," Ford said. "Ohio State is just Ohio State. They have a great history and tradition at that school.
"(Assistant) coach (Keenan) Bailey is recruiting me and I like him. He's easy to talk to and a chill person."
Ford finished last season with over 1,100 yards rushing, 340 yards receiving and 17 touchdowns.
