Three-Star LB Darien Butler Talks Recent SJSU Offer, Boise State and Pac-12 Interest

Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne had one of the top linebacker corps in the West last year and Darien Butler was a big reason for that.

You can make a strong argument Narbonne had the top group of linebackers in the state last year. Senior Anthony Pandy signed with the Arizona Wildcats and junior Raymond Scott has already committed to USC.

One player that sometimes gets overshadowed a bit is Darien Butler but he's easily among the top inside 'backers in the region. Butler is a thick kid at about 6-0, 230 pounds and a tremendous hitter.

He shows up very well on film and flashes the ability to play the run and be that enforcer in the middle but also shows surprising quickness and cover skills. He's a natural leader who plays with a great motor and has a very nice upside to him.

Early offers have come in from Boston CollegeColorado and San Jose State and several other schools including  Boise StateUtahWashington and Washington State are showing interest as well.

To hear Butler talk about what schools are showing the most interest and where he plans to visit, check out the video above:

Editors Note- Butler mentioned after the video that he also plans to take visits to Fresno State and Georgia later this spring.
