There is no doubt that Manvel (Texas) phenom Jalen Preston is one of the top players in the state. He takes no plays off and makes things happen in all phases of the game.

Evaluation Notes:

Preston will project as a wide receiver on the next level, but playing on one of the most stacked teams in the nation in 2015 as only a sophomore, he got the chance to show on tape just what type of football player he is. He made plays in all phases wherever he got the opportunity to make them. He has great explosion and can accelerate quickly. He is a tremendous athlete at the receiver position who uses his leaping ability as a basketball standout to make plays on the football field. Preston has been making the necessary progressions at the receiver position to be considered as an elite prospect at that position. He should be one of the most dangerous weapons in the state and is one of the best natural football players in the 2018 class. - Greg Powers and Gabe Brooks

Preston finished his junior season with 33 catches for 664 yards and 10 touchdowns on 20.1 yards per reception. He also returned two punts for TD's and one kickoff for a score as he helped Manvel to a 13-1 record and the Texas Class 5A Division I state quarterfinals.

Recruiting Notes:

Preston has coast-to-coast offers, but for the time being we are watching most closely like LSUOklahoma, and Texas
