Mike Edwards' scholarship list has grown to double digits.
According to Edwards, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest are recruiting him hardest.
"It means a lot that they're showing so much interest," said the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Edwards. "I like all three programs and the way that they do things. I also get along well with all three coaching staffs and like their personalities.
"I'm not ready to name any top schools yet, but I'd like to narrow it down soon. I'll probably cut it to three schools and I'd say Wake Forest has a good chance to make it. Their program reminds me of my high school program."
His most recent visit was actually Wake Forest a few weeks ago.
"I went to one of their junior days and enjoyed the visit," Edwards said. "They're a really good program and they seem very interested in me.
"We took a tour of the campus and also saw the new indoor facility. My favorite parts of the visit were seeing the weight room and dorms.
"I spent the most time with (offensive line) coach (Nick) Tabacca. He cares about me as a player and person. We talked about football, but also about academics and what I'd like to major in when I get to college. I like him a lot."
Where will head next?
"I'm going to try to get to Maryland sometime in the next month," Edwards said. "I don't know much about them yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to finding out more about the program and school.
"(Tight ends) coach (Pete) Lembo is recruiting me and he's told me they're very interested. He's been asking me to come visit, so I'm happy I'm going to get the chance to go up there."
Edwards hopes to make his commitment before the season starts.
