Canton McKinley offensive tackle Charles Turner is a 2019 prospect of note in the state of Ohio, and he impressed last season as a first-time starter for his playoff team.

Turner also stood out as one of the top underclassmen in Indianapolis two weeks ago at the Best of the Midwest Showcase, where he was one of the top underclassmen performers.

Blessed with length, quick feet and above average athletic ability, Turner figures to be a Division-I recruit even though he holds no offers at this time.

"I had a good year at tackle for a sophomore, but I still have things I need to work on as a young player," Turner admitted. "As a tackle, I think my pass protection is my best asset right now."

"I need to work on getting bigger and stronger to be more effective as a run blocker," he added. "I've heard from ToledoAkron and Syracuse."

"These schools all want to see me in camp, and I plan on going to a lot of camps this summer," he said.
