OT Tyler Endres gets coveted Iowa offer

Norwalk (Iowa) sophomore Tyler Endres was one of the prospects who Iowa offered at their Sunday junior day. As lifelong fan of the school, he was excited for the offer.

Iowa offered in-state offensive tackle Tyler Endres today, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound sophomore who already held offers from Iowa State and Minnesota coming into today.

This offer was a thrilling one for him.

"I have always been an Iowa fan growing up. It was so exciting to get that."

Endres says he had a chance to speak with most of the coaching staff. They all give him a similar assessment of his abilities. Bottom line, they want him on their team.

"All the coaches said that they love my film and they think I can help the program they have at Iowa."

His familiarity with Iowa was mostly watching on television growing up, but now Endres has had the full experience after today's visit.

"I went up to some games as a kid, but not very many. I did go to an Iowa camp this past summer but otherwise this was my first visit to Iowa."

Endres has visited Iowa State, he has Minnesota planned for March 25th.
