Zovon Lindsay had a strong sophomore season last fall.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Lindsay finished his 2017 campaign with 48 tackles, nine tackles for loss and five sacks.
Wake Forest became the latest school to offer last week when he visited the Demon Deacons.
"It's definitely a blessing to get the offer," said Lindsay, who is also being recruited by NC State and Virginia Tech. "When I visited, I liked environment of the school and the fact that you can walk everywhere. You can basically be anywhere on campus in 15 minutes.
"I ate lunch and took a tour of the campus and facilities. I also had the chance to watch them practice and was really impressed by their enthusiasm. I liked learning more about the academic side of the school, too. I really enjoyed the entire visit. I'll probably go to another spring practice or the spring game.
"I spent the most time with (defensive line) coach (Dave) Cohen. We have a good relationship and he's always honest with me. We talked about football, but also about life and education. He also said he wanted me to come to camp this summer. I also talked to coach (Dave) Clawson and that meant a lot. He seems like he really loves his players and treats them like his sons. He actually offered me and it was great to get an offer from a head coach."
Along with Wake Forest, Lindsay has an offer from NC State and plans to visit the Wolfpack soon.
"I'll probably go to one of their spring practices," Lindsay said. "They were the first school to offer and I have a good relationship with the coaches, especially coach (Dave) Doeren. Every time I visit, he treats me like one of his players, and I really like it there. I like how they're improving each year. I also think I'd have a good chance of playing professionally if I went there
"I just met the new defensive line coach Kevin Patrick on my last visit a few weeks ago and I feel like we're going to build a good relationship. So on this visit, hopefully we will be able to talk more and continue to get to know each other. I'm looking forward to watching the defensive linemen practice and seeing how they do things."
Besides Wake Forest and NC State, Lindsay plans to visit Virginia Tech in the near future.
