4-star DE/OLB Cameron Latu

Recently, 4-star DE/OLB Cameron Latu decommitted from BYU, and one of the teams that is pursuing him now, Oregon is a team he "really likes." Latu spoke to Greg Powers last weekend at The Opening in Dallas.

Player Profile: Cameron Latu

The Opening Dallas Notes:

One of the top performers regardless of position was Latu. He made the trek from Utah and earned an invitation to The Opening Finals in July in Oregon thanks to a dominant performance that included a Final Five linemen 1-on-1 spot at the end of the camp. Latu possesses an outstanding frame and showed a consistently fast get-off at the snap. He's garnered offers from across the country and proved he's an elite defensive end prospect against big-time offensive tackles such as five-star Oklahoma pledge Brey Walker and four-star Darrell Simpson. Latu was invited to The Opening Finals.

Recruiting Notes:

Latu, who was at one time committed to BYU, also mentioned schools like AlabamaUSCWashingtonOregon, Utah and Notre Dame being the biggest offers to come through for him so far.
