It started with his first offer coming in, from Arizona State, and ended with two more offers, from Hawaii and San Jose State.

Now Porter is hoping more offers find their way to him.

"The ASU offer was big," said Porter.  "It was a great first offer and it is pretty big for any player to come out and get a Pac-12 offer to start."

Hawaii followed up with an offer to Porter.

"Hawaii was my second offer and that's a great place with wonderful weather," said Porter.  "Everyone wants to go to Hawaii."

San Jose State rounded out the week.

"My third offer was from San Jose State and that was great to get an offer from an in-state school," said Porter.

A number of other Power 5 programs are keeping in contact with Porter.

"I'm talking with WashingtonWashington StateOregon State and Purdue," said Porter.

Porter's brother, Grant Porter, is finishing his first year with the Cougs and he said if the Cougs offered, he'd consider the opportunity to play with his brother.

"I would definitely consider it if Washington State offered," said Porter.  "It's a really good school and it just would depend on what they're talking and what the depth chart looked like."

He said his brother has offered some sage advice with the recruiting process.

"He's just told me to be aware of everything in recruiting, what the coaches say and making sure everything is accurate and that your hard work will pay off at the next level," said Porter.

Porter said he's also interested in both the local schools, USC and UCLA.  His father, George, ran track at USC in the 1980's.

"I think I'm going to maybe check out UCLA and USC soon," said Porter.
