The four-star is up to 17 offers, with Nebraska and Notre Dame, Oregon, Louisville and Washington State other recent offers.

The Notre Dame offer caught Holland's attention.

"That offer meant a lot to me," said Holland.   "I had been talking with Coach (Brian) Polian and he was who offered me.  I was shocked when I got it.  That's a big powerhouse school with a lot of weight to their name."

The Irish offered Holland as a safety, as did Oregon.

"Coach (Keith) Heyward was who offered me at Oregon and they offered me as a safety too.  He said offense could be something too but they like me as a safety."

Two schools yet to offer Holland are USC and Washington, but both have been showing interest and each has signed teammates the last two years.

"USC has shown a lot of interest and with Je'Quari Godfrey and Alijah Vera-Tucker going there, they've talked about it a lot," said Holland.  "And then Camilo Eifler at Washington too and Coach Napoleon (Kaufman, his coach at O'Dowd and a former Husky star), I'm interested in them too."

Holland visited USC last month when in town for the Adidas 7v7 West Coast Invitational.

"I enjoyed it at USC," said Holland.  "They had a lot of good things to say and I like the scheme and the coaching staff is good.  Coach (Clay) Helton is a great guy."

Holland also visited UCLA while in Los Angeles and the Bruins have offered as well as have a tie to Holland's family.

"I loved it at UCLA," said Holland.  "It was great when we were there. I saw their facilities and they were really nice. I talked a lot with Coach Meat (Demetrice Martin) when I was there.  And Coach Angus (McClure), I talk with him a lot.  He actually played at Sacramento State with my dad so he's known us for a long time."

The local school, California, has also had Holland on campus.

"I went up to Cal a couple of weeks ago and it was great," said Holland. "I got to talk with Coach (Gerald) Alexander and I love him and the attitude and energy he brings.  Coach (Justin) Wilcox too.  He's real straight-forward but easy to talk to."

Holland said he doesn't plan to narrow things down for some time.

"There are still like eight or nine schools contending, maybe more, but I haven't broken it down to a top five yet," said Holland.  "I will probably do a top five in the summer."
