Tar Heels coming after St. Louis athlete Dallas Craddieth

North Carolina offered one of the best athletes in the St. Louis area, Hazelwood Central's Dallas Craddieth, who spoke about his interest from the school and where they see him playing in college.

Dallas Craddieth has been a playmaker for several seasons at Hazelwood Central and it has paid off in the form of college scholarship offers. Recently, North Carolina offered, becoming the 12th school to do so.

"They offered me as a safety," he said. "I know they're a really good basketball school and their football team is on the rise and their quarterback (Mitch Trubisky) from this past season is in the draft."

Craddieth has a busy spring and summer schedule. IllinoisNorthwestern and Iowa State are among the potential stops, and he is now looking to add Chapel Hill to that list in light of this new offer.

"Yeah, I'm trying to get some things lined up to visit this spring or in the summer," he said.

WisconsinMinnesotaVanderbiltMississippi and Iowa are among the other schools who have offered. With much to sift through, Craddieth is not in a position to name any favorites at the moment.

"No top fives yet. I'm still pretty open with my recruitment. I just want to visit some more places before I start cutting down my list."

He does hope he can come to a decision before his senior season begins, but only if that makes sense to him after taking these upcoming visits.

"Hopefully I can commit before the season but if not I'll do it right after."
