Safety Jeremiah Wood Taking His Time With Recruiting

Pickerington Central has one of the top programs in Ohio, with several Division-I prospects on the roster. Safety Jeremiah Wood is closing in on ten offers.

One of the top 2018 defensive players in Ohio is three-star safety Jeremiah Wood, and he has been extremely productive for Pickerington Central since his sophomore season.

Wood holds eight offers at this time, including CincinnatiIowa State and Kentucky. He is in the process of learning more about each school that has offered.

"I haven't really narrowed things down yet, but I've been to Cincinnati and Kentucky for visits," Wood stated. "I still like Kentucky a lot, and I want to go visit there again soon. I'm being recruited by Coach (Vince) Marrow."

"I also think a lot of Cincinnati and think Coach (Luke) Fickell is going to do great there," he added. "He's going to bring in top players, and I think that coaching staff is great. He coached my older brother (Jamie Wood) at Ohio State, so I know him well."

He is also hearing from a few other schools, although Wood is in no hurry to make a decision at this time.

"I'm also talking with Michigan State, and I've been there for a visit already," he explained. "I'm also talking to Pittsburgh and West Virginia."

"I have two teammates committed to Michigan State (Xavier Henderson and Trenton Gillison), so I feel good about them," Wood said. "They told me to be patient, so I'm hoping for that offer."
