Razorbacks pull 4-star TE Luke Ford out of Illinois

Carterville (Ill.) four-star tight end Luke Ford committed to Arkansas on Tuesday. It was a major pickup for Bret Bielema and the Hawgs as Ford was a fast-rising prospect.

Arkansas has had four tight ends drafted in the last six NFL Drafts. If all goes to plan, the newest addition to their 2017 class, Luke Ford, can follow in that line.

Ford is a 6-foot-7, 245-pound matchup nightmare who will remind many Razorback fans immediately of Hunter Henry, now with the San Diego Chargers.

After visiting Arkansas for two days over the weekend, Ford commits to them over offers from Florida, Illinois, Louisville, Alabama, Minnesota, Oklahoma, West Virginia and many more.

"I had a huge connection with the staff," he said. "The facilities were amazing. Everything was great. I'm pumped!"

Ford caught six touchdown passes as a junior and also plays on Carterville's varsity basketball team.

The Razorbacks landed a big one out of Illinois in the 2017 class as well with offensive lineman Dalton Wagner.
