Mason Quandt played his junior year at St. Bonaventura but will playing his senior year for one of the state's fast rising powers at Sierra Canyon.
In what was a huge group of quarterbacks, Quandt worked his way all the way up to the top group and had a very nice day throwing the rock. His arm is live and he can get the ball down the field but what stood out was his accuracy, improved feet and balance as well as his timing and anticipation.
Quandt isn't close to reaching his potential and has plenty of room to improve and get better. He can make another big jump in his game as he improves his overall consistency and athleticism. He's a tireless worker off the field and has a gym rat mentality that all successful quarterbacks need and it will be fun to watch him develop over the coming years.
On the recruiting front, Quandt is hearing from the entire Ivy League and has early offers from Columbia and Cornell. UNLV is making a push as well and the quarterback will take a visit this weekend to watch Spring Ball.
