Recruiting Update with Three-Star DB Jeremiah Lewis

Scout recently caught up with standout defensive back Jeremiah Lewis who brings versatility to the the backfield and that is why his offer list is approaching double digits.

Jeremiah Lewis, a 5-foot-11, 178-pound defensive back from Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian is a prospect who continues to rack up interest and offers on the recruiting front.

He is up to eight offers in total.

"I have SMUTulsaDukeColorado StateLouisiana Tech, KansasNevada and Texas State," Lewis reported. "It is just a blessing to have eight schools that want me to further my academic and athletic career. Just beyond blessed."

There are number of other colleges keeping close tabs and a few of them will be coming by Texas this spring to take a closer look.

"For this spring a few schools that will probably come down to see me are PurdueNorthwesternArizona StateConnecticut, and probably Boston College just to name a few," Lewis said.

"I am probably just excited to show them my versatility and keep emphasizing that. Just that if they have me that I can play multiple positions and not just one spot on the field."

Lewis is not naming a set favorites list at this point, but does have a couple of his offers starting to separate from the pack.

"The ones that are standing out the most so far are probably Duke and SMU," Lewis informed. "Both are great academic sound schools. Duke is in a great ACC conference and SMU is around the area and is not too far from home."

Lewis is rated as a Scout three-star prospect. He could play safety or cornerback on the next level.
