Defensive Line

A deep group of Louisiana talent led by Scout 300 four-star prospect Dare Rosenthal headlines the D-line group. Rosenthal, who could play high-major football on either side of the ball, will soon be re-classified to D-tackle on Scout. He holds offers from all over the country. He joins LSU 2018 tackle pledge Davin Cotton and 2019 standout Ishmael Sopsher as the four-star in-state headliners on the defensive line.

Big interior defensive lineman Timaje Porter is one of the best in 'Bama and he's also nearing a decision between a pair of Tigers. Will it be in-state Auburn or nearby LSU? The Mobile native will commit later this spring. Staying with the state of Alabama, three-star defensive end Andres Fox is one of the hottest prospects in the state with recent offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida State, Georgia, USC and many others.

Tennessee edge defender Jordan Davis emerged at this event last year and is now committed to Alabama. Already tabbed as a blue-chip in the 2019 class, Charles Moore has several early SEC offers and possesses the ability to play inside or outside.

Linebackers

Salua Masina is expected to make the long trip from Utah to compete at Sunday's camp. The four-star prospect is a national top 150 prospect in the 2018 Scout 300 and the top outside linebacker in the state of Utah. Masina holds more than a dozen offers.

LSU pledge Micah Baskerville will be one of several prospects competing from Shreveport Evangel, one of Louisiana's most storied programs. Tall, long-framed, fast-rising Byron Hobbs will represent the state of Texas in the linebacker group. Mississippi prospect Nakobe Dean won't wear the sleeper tag long. He got his first offer in January from Mississippi State, then picked up an LSU offer earlier this month.

Defensive Backs

The secondary will be perhaps the deepest defensive position group at Sunday's The Opening New Orleans.

At the top is LSU pledge Kelvin Joseph, a position-versatile defensive back and a Scout 100 prospect who's one of the top players in the state of Louisiana regardless of class. He joins fellow LSU commit Ar'darius Washington as expected participants. Four-star Scout 300 recruit and Texas A&M pledge Jordan Moore, one of the top athletes in Texas, is also expected at Sunday's camp.

Two Kansas pledges are expected in the DB group as well: four-star cornerback Corione Harris and three-star safety Aaron Brule. Fast-rising prospects such as Joseph Foucha, Arkansas standout LaDarrius Bishop, and big-framed safety Jeremiah McDonald will also compete.
