Change In Plans For LB Brian Asamoah

A couple of new offers have caused three-star linebacker Brian Asamoah to reconsider his April 21 commitment date, and the Ohio product will now look to slow down his time frame on announcing.

Recent offers from Notre Dame and Michigan State, and the possibility of even more coming to him, have three-star linebacker Brian Asamoah rethinking his earlier plan to make his announcement on April 21.

Asamoah, one of the top linebacker prospects in the Midwest, had earlier stated his intention to announce on that date and had a final six of CincinnatiMichiganPenn StatePittsburghUCLA and West Virginia

Sunday evening, Asamoah told Scout that he is in the process of formulating a new list of schools, and the planned April announcement date is no longer on the table.

"I will need to sit down and talk further with my family about my top schools," Asamoah told Scout. "I will not be announcing my commitment in April, and will look at a new date later on in the process. I'm hopeful there will be more offers coming in."

Scout will continue to follow the Columbus (OH) DeSales athlete throughout his recruitment.
