Scout 300 OT Richard Gouraige Rates Florida Visit a '10' on 1-10 Scale

The University of Florida's "top" target along the offensive line, Richard Gouraige, rates his weekend trip to Gainesville a "10" on 1-10 scale.

Scout 300 offensive tackle Richard Gouraige spent much of Saturday visiting with the in-state Florida Gators, and rates his most recent stay in Gainesville a "10" on a 1-10 scale.

With a top three (no order) of FloridaClemson and North Carolina, the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Gouraige checks in as Scout's 13th-ranked offensive tackle and 136th-ranked player overall for the class of 2018.

"What really impressed me was all the coaches and how they showed so much love," Gouraige said. "We sat down with my mom, talking about why I'm their top target on the offensive line. I like that they are a fast-tempo offensive team.

"I also liked that I was able to talk to other players, and they said positive things about (offensive line) coach (Brad) Davis."

Coach Brad Davis, who was hired on from North Texas just days following National Signing Day, pushed all the right buttons during his initial meeting with the highly-coveted prospect out of Tampa (Fla.) Cambridge Christian.

"Coach Davis kept it real with me from the jump, talking about how it is family over at Florida," Gouraige said. "He was talking about how I can make a big impact on the program coming in."

Gouraige is an intriguing prospect with the makings of a true left tackle. Gouraige is flexible and does a great job of getting underneath his opponent in leverage, but also slides his feet effortlessly when operating in pass protection.

He checks off all of the boxes when it comes to his physical characteristics, possessing great length and a frame that should have no problem packing on an additional 25-30 pounds.

Gouraige has no decision timeline or additional visits scheduled at this time.
