6'6 WR Cole Turner is Waiting for Offer No. 1

Hillsboro (Ore.) --- Scout caught up with Clackamas WR Cole Turner at the Passing Down Northwest Regional...

Milwaukie (Ore.) Clackamas wide receiver Cole Turner has been called by his 7-on-7 coach, "the most over-looked prospect in Oregon."

While the three-star prospect does not yet have an offer, the 6-foot-6-inch Turner is not short on interest.

Turner made the trip down to Corvallis this weekend for Oregon State's spring game and Junior Day. While visiting the Beavers, he was able to talk with OSU's receiver coach Jason Phillips.

The philosophy of OSU head coach Gary Andersen was something that Turner connected with.

"I liked what coach Andersen's all about", said Turner. "He wants to make you a better man."

The other major in-state program, Oregon plans to host Turner for their spring game.

"They think really highly of me." said Turner.  Adding, "They really want to get me down to meet the whole staff."

In addition to OSU and Oregon, Turner will be taking a few more visits this spring. He plans to get out to Columbia in two weeks and will see both Boise State and Washington State for their respective Junior Days.

A two-sport athlete, Turner will now turn his attention from basketball to football.

"I wanna get faster. That's my biggest thing" said Turner when asked about what he plans to improve this spring.

As for what he'd like to study in college, Tuner is still undecided. "I want to stay in sports somehow"
