Recruiting News and Notes on Top Prospects at Under Armour Houston

SPRING, Texas -- Scout was on hand at the Under Armour Houston to compile and track some of the hottest recruiting news and notes...

Cornerback Anthony Cook -- who is an Under Armour All-American -- will be making a return trip to Austin, Texas to see the Longhorns in the spring game. He also has plans to hopefully see LSU, Ohio State and possibly Notre Dame at some point this spring or summer.

Wide receiver Brennan Eagles -- who is currently the lone Scout five-star from the state of Texas -- is feeling some of his national offers such as Florida State, Ohio State, and USC. He released a Top 10 and afterwards got offered by Alabama, but he reports that he is not considering the Crimson Tide offer or changing his Top 10 as a result of that offer at this point.

Defensive tackle Keondre Coburn -- who was named an Under Armour All-American on Sunday -- says that currently schools like TCU, Texas, and Texas stand out on his list. But one school making a strong push for him and building a good relationship from out of state is Oregon. It may be a hard battle to get him to leave the state, but it is a testament to the type of relationships that news staff up in Eugene, Ore., can build.

Wide receiver Al'vonte Woodard -- who was named an Under Armour All-American on Sunday -- is closing in on naming his Top 10. While the whole list will remain a mystery there are a couple known school that will make the cut: Ohio State and Texas A&M. Ohio State was a big national offer and A&M will make the list because of the proximity to Houston.

Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle -- who was named an Under Armour All-American on Sunday -- says that offers that were game changers for his recruitment were Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, and Texas A&M. He is not whiting down his heavy offer list however at this point in the process, but look for him to have a top five at some point before the start of his senior year.
