Top-100 LB Chris Oats Looking At All Options

Four-star linebacker Chris Oats is one of the top overall prospects in America, and is also a wanted man in recruiting circles. He has a few teams standing out to him at this time.

A check of the film reveals that Chris Oats has as much raw ability as any player in the Midwest, and the four-star linebacker has certainly drawn the attention of college recruiters across the nation.

Oats, from Cincinnati Winton Woods, could end up playing a number of positions at the college level. Depending upon how big he eventually gets, Oats could play any of the three linebacker spots or possibly grow into a defensive end.

With offers from several top programs, Oats knows he is facing a tough choice selecting one over the others. He is in the process of doing his research on schools he is interested in.

"I would say some of the schools that are sticking out to me right now would be Ohio StateMississippiFlorida StateCincinnatiMiami (Fl), Michigan State and Oklahoma,"  Oats stated.

"With these schools, what I like best about all of them would be the overall atmosphere and their coaching staffs," he added. "I really don't know when I will make my decision, and I'm in no hurry at all."

"Of the schools that haven't offered yet, I would say Penn State is recruiting me the hardest," he continued. "I want to take visits this spring, and two visits I know I will be taking will be to Ohio State and Cincinnati."

Scout will continue to track this explosive athlete over the coming months, and will report on any visits or new offers Oats might receive.
