Michigan has not traditionally recruited St. Louis as hard, but that has shifted in this class. The Wolverines have now offered Perkins, fellow defensive lineman Michael Thompson from Parkway North, wide receiver Kamryn Babb from Christian Brothers College and sophomore athlete/quarterback Isaiah Williams from Trinity Catholic.
When asked about a visit to Michigan for Perkins, Lutheran North head coach Carl Reed said "we haven't talked about it yet but we will try to make it work at some point."
He has played both inside and outside in high school and likely projects to strongside end or three-tech in college.
He began his career at University High but transferred to Lutheran North and played there as a junior.
