The Top Sleeper Prospects Who Performed at UA Houston

SPRING, Texas -- Factoring in performance in the drills and in the one-on-ones Scout examines the top sleepers at the Under Armour regional camp stop in the Houston area on Sunday.

DB Christian Young - Richmond (Texas) Foster

A defensive back with plus size who has the ability to hang tight with receivers in one-on-one coverage. He could provide some versatility in a defensive backfield, because he has the size of many safeties and the ball skills of a corner. He currently has offers from ArizonaLouisiana-Monroe, and Nevada

WR Sterling Galban - Burnet (Texas)

This kid can really play and coaches looking for a slot receiver with the ability to create separation and make plays from the position should give him a look. Picked up an offer from Iowa State on Tuesday night to add to the one he had received previously from Southern Mississippi.

CB Dorian Camel - Scotlandville Magnet (La.)

This defender came in from Louisiana and had a solid showing making the Top 10. Already has an offer from Iowa State, but look for his list to grow. He has plus size and skills at the position.

QB Aaron Allen - Ridge Point (Texas)

Probably the most consistent of all of the quarterbacks in attendance. He has a solid skill range and has been growing physically. A QB to really watch in the spring eval. He has started to add more offers to his list with schools like New Mexico, North TexasRice and UNLV coming on board, but look for him to catch P5 interest.

WR Sheldon Jones - Warren Easton (La.)

The wide receiver group was very talented, but the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners commit from Louisiana made his mark by performing well in all the drills and consistently finding ways to get open.

Cole Smith - Pontotoc (Miss.)

Not currently rated that is sure to change quickly as Smith earned an invitation to the Under Armour All-America Game after a very good showing against the big-bodied and strong defensive tackles in attendance. He was listed with the wrong number on the media roster, so I was quick to find out who this massive center was. He has already committed to the LSU Tigers.
