Justice Galloway-Velazquez was sensational last fall.
The 6-foot-2, 242-pound Galloway-Velazquez finished with 2,476 yards passing and 26 touchdowns and 1,912 yards rushing and 26 more scores, all while leading his team to a state title game appearance.
Appalachian State was one of the most recent schools to offer.
"I like everything about them," Galloway-Velazquez said. "The offer definitely means a lot. I've visited before and I like the way the coaches treated me. I got a lot of attention from them and loved their attitudes. I also loved the stadium.
"(Running backs) coach (Stu) Holt and I have a strong relationship. We talk about things other than football and laugh a lot. He's also straight up with me about everything and has told me about all the success the program has had through the years."
His next visit will be to Louisville in a few weeks.
"I like their style of play," Galloway-Velazquez said. "It's very similar to what we do at my high school. They've also had a lot of success and have a lot of playmakers. I'm excited to see the campus and facilities. I also want to see the environment and get a feel for the school.
"(Wide receivers) coach (Lonnie) Galloway is recruiting me and I'm looking forward to developing a relationship with him. Hopefully, we will get to talk when I visit."
As for other visits, he plans to go to East Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia Tech in the near future.
