DL Hunter Spears Talks About Major SEC Offer

Scout gets quick update from Hunter Spears who just received a major offer from Alabama...

Hunter Spears, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive lineman from Sachse (Texas High just got some big news on the recruiting front. 

"Blessed beyond belief to announce that I have received an offer from The University of Alabama," Spears exclaimed!

The Crimson Tide double his current offer list and join the Texas Tech Red Raiders on an offer list that now features one school from the Big 12 and one from the Southeastern Conference. 

For a defensive lineman the offer from the Crimson Tide is a major one as it has been recruiting and producing top talent up and down the defensive front. 

Spears is exactly the type of multi-faceted defender who could excel in its scheme. 

"Words can't even begin to describe what an honor this is," spears said of the Crimson Tide offer. "To have the opportunity and chance to be able to one day play at such a prestigious school like Alabama is just mesmerizing. I've dreamt about this since I was little and I'm so thankful for everything."

Spears will help headline a Sachse team that went 11-1 in 2016 and features a number of top-flight D1 prospects like QB Jalen Mayden, S Isaiah Humphries, WR Drue Jackson, and DE Tyler Lacy among others.
