The above video features footage of 2018 four-star cornerback Corione Harris from New Orleans Landry-Walker at this past weekend's The Opening New Orleans regional camp at Joe Brown Memorial Park.
Harris committed in early February to Kansas. Harris holds numerous additional offers, including Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and West Virginia, among others.
The 6-foot, 165-pound Harris proved his abilities at The Opening New Orleans, where he did a great job in 1-on-1's locating the ball to make plays. He snagged perhaps the most impressive interception of the event when he pulled away a jumpball from a significantly larger tight end.
Harris projects well to high-major football because of his frame potential and natural coverage instincts. He's wiry strong and possesses the ability to jam at the line of scrimmage, along with the body control and ball skills to recover and make plays against larger receivers, especially in the end zone.
Harris' effort earned him an invitation to The Opening Finals in July in Oregon. It also snagged him a spot on Scout's top defensive performers list, as seen in the link below:
